Indonesia, Oct. 17, 2016: The fourth Asian Youth Day and Asian Youth Ministers Meeting was organized at Puri Indah Inn in Indonesia on October 16 to 19. It was organized by FABC Youth Desk along with AYD 7 Committee in the Archdiocese of Semarang.

Delegates from Burnai, Korea, India, representative of Kiya, Bishop Pius the Chairman of Youth Commission of Indonesia and local organizations Committee members were present.

The meeting was started with a welcome dinner organized at Melcosh (Merali lounge and coffee shop that belongs to the Archdiocese of Semarang). The main purpose of this event was to raise funds for education within the diocese.

The day two begun with prayer led by Fr. Dwi Harsantoand.  Fr. Gustavo the executive Secretary for FABC Youth Desk welcomed all the delegates and spoke about the purpose of this particular Preparatory meeting. Followed by Bishop Pius Riana Prapdi – Chairman of Youth Commission, Episcopal Conference of Indonesia addressed the gathering on the important of AYD. Fr. Sukendar - Diocesan Administrator of Archdiocese of Semarang once again welcomed the gathering and briefed about the preparation that is gone before this meeting and promised all cooperation to the AYD 7.




Fr. Budi the Diocesan youth director introduced AYD Committee. The session was moderated by  Fr. Gustavo the Executive Secretary of FABC Youth Desk. Later on he introduced the Agenda of the meeting and continued with the review of the minutes of the first three Preparatory meeting and it’s results.

After the break Fr. Donny explained the delegates the story and background of AYD7 Logo part by part and played the theme song and it’s formation. Fr. Triwidi in charge of logistics explained the proposed program of DID and other Logistics of the AYD7. There was a question and answer session and all the concerns from different regions were discussed and were answered.

Fr. Donny continued the discussion on the pre event of AYD7 and it’s importance in connection to the preparation of AYD7. Through the systematic power point presentation he explained daily programs, exposure and AYD7 statement. Followed by a question and answer session.





Afternoon session was on AYD7 Framing. Fr. In Nug explained it in three sub headings. Namely the background, The Stories of being contemporary Jesus’s disciple and 3 C’s and 3 Ses as a frame work. Fr. Banu geographically explained about the accommodation site and the venue of the AYD7. There upon there was a detailed explanation of AYD7 program plans.
