The three days “Volunteerism” program was organized by CBCI Council for Youth at Asha Bhavan a Home for Senior Disabled and Women in Distress, Mapusa Goa from March 9-10, 2018 in collaboration with Canossion Fathers. There were  24 participants. The program started with a prayer by Fr. Deepak and Fr. Shayam Prasad. Sr. Regina, the  Superior of Asha Bhavan welcomed all the participants and recalled her association with the youth as a diocesan Lady Animator of the Diocese of Vasai. She told the participants that she learned a lot from the youth and is still in contact with most of the Youth. She also explained in short what Asha Bhavan stands for and welcomed all the participants with warm words.

Later Fr. Deepak introduced the resources person Rev. Fr. Shayam Prasad a Canossian Priest. The sessions were activity based. In the first session Fr. Shayam informed that every youth ministry programme includes Fun – Process – Motivation – Reflections which are very much needed. All the sessions of the day where activity based on Fun-Process-Motivation and Reflections. Evening the participants along with the inmates recited the Rosary at the Marian Grotto followed by Holy Eucharist. After the dinner there were socialization through various games.
