May 16th day began with the Holy Mass celebrated by ICYM National Youth Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza. He preached a homily on “Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me” (John14:1). He explained how Jesus became the way, and the truth, and the life for us. He said that youth should build their life on Jesus and on His Word.

At 9am session on ‘Self – Esteem’ was taken by Fr. Franklin D’Souza. He started his session with an activity to find out the participants their Self – Esteem. He later explained the objectives, definition of Self – Esteem, causes of low Self – Esteem and how to develop Self – Esteem? He said don’t evaluate yourself negatively, have faith in yourself and in God. He also said that Self –Esteem is an act of faith. At 11am Fr. Franklin took a session on ‘Skill Assessment’. He gave the participants the chart to assess their Personal, Social as well as Communication Skills. Then the group sharing was done. At 12.30pm Mr. Praveen D’Souza conducted quiz on Indian Catholic Youth Movement.







At 2pm Fr. Franklin took a session on ‘Jesus Style in Relationship’. He said that Jesus became one of us, Jesus shared the life of the people he came to save, Jesus listened – learned – and grew, Jesus affirmed people, Jesus was kind to the weak and hard with the conceited, Jesus took the people as they were, Jesus loved concrete individuals, Jesus accepted help, Jesus forgave and Jesus didn’t play it safe. He led the participants for group discussion and asked them what struck them in Jesus style of relationship? He asked them to assess their style in relationships, their strengths as well as weaknesses. He explained ‘one solitary life’ of Jesus. At 3pm Fr. Franklin continued his session on ‘Tips for good human inter personal relations’, ‘Checklist for Catholic Youth’. Mr. Praveen D’Souza conducted a ‘quiz on leadership’.












At 4.30pm full time volunteers who served at the national level Ex ICYM president Mr. Ravi Rounak, Mr. Prashanth D’Souza and Mr. Praveen D’Souza shared their experiences about ‘Volunteerism’. Mr. Ravi explained the role of volunteers, planning, and mission. It was an inspiring session.
At 7pm Fr. Franklin conducted thanks giving adoration. He specially prayed over the youth and asked Lord to anoint them for the national mission.
At 9pm delegates exhibited their talents in groups as well as individually. Fr. Rajesh Mathew gave concluding remarks as well as assessment of the talents exhibited. Day came to an end with prayer led by Ms. Mary Jemcy.
