June 2, 2014: Second day of C.A.T began with Eucharistic Adoration conducted by ICYM National Youth Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza. After the breakfast animation and reporting was done by the participants. At 9 am Fr. Franklin D’Souza conducted a session on ‘for an effective youth ministry; know your movement’. He explained the richness of youth ministry. He shared his experience and challenges he faced in youth ministry. He also  explained how to overcome these challenges.












At 11am Fr. Franklin D’Souza welcomed Chairman of CBCI Youth Council His Excellency most Rev. Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary and CBCI Youth Council Member Bishop His Excellency Most Rev. Vincent Mar Paulose, Bishop of Marthanda and introduced them to the participants. He also welcomed YCS/YSM National Chaplain Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes for the C.A.T Program. Bishop Henry and Bishop Vincent both spoke on the development of youth in Indian Scenario. They also asked animators to lead by example and accompany the youth. They said priority is to be the model for the young people. At 12pm Bishop Henry celebrated the Holy Eucharist and prayed for the success of C.A.T. In his Homily he stressed that we should never lose hope in life.















After the lunch break at 2.30pm Mr. Roshan Madtha from the Diocese of Mangalore took a practical session on ‘Icebreakers and Calisthenics’. He taught the participants various types of songs, group games, which can be used to know each other in the training of youth.  Mr. Ashis Franklin from Odissa thanked Mr. Roshan Madtha. Fr. Franklin said that Mr. Roshan is a role model for the youth who attended CAT in 1991 was also Mangalore Diocesan Youth President. He serves from last 24 years as youth animator has conducted more than 600 training programs. At 7.30pm participants prayed the rosary.

After supper Groups were divided and groups worked together to pictures a logo and a name for the CAT program as a group. Mr. Prashant D’Souza led the groups. Day came to an end with evaluation and night prayer.
