August 7, 2014: Forty Seven members from CBCI Office for Youth – ICYM travelling for the VI Asian Youth Day – Daejeon Diocese, South Korea. This will take place from August 10-17, 2014. Holy Father Pope Francis will be visiting Korea same time. He will meet the Asian youth and address them during the AYD. He will also beatify Korean Martyrs during this event. Indian delegation is led by CBCI Council for Youth Chairman His Excellency Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary together with CBCI Council for Youth National Secretary and ICYM National Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza (Diocese of Shimoga). ICYM National President Mr. Suresh Rao (Vijayawada, AP), ICYM National General Secretary MS. Mary Jemcy (Cochin, Kerala), ICYM Vice President Mr. Naresh Kumar (Vellore, TN) and ICYM National Treasurer Ms. Julia Joseph (Faridabad, Northern) are participating in the AYD 2014. The theme is: “Asian Youth Wake up - The Glory of Martyrs shines on you”. 2,000 young Asians will gather at the National Youth Centre to reflect on this theme and to share their faith experiences. There will be inputs and workshops. 







From India YCS/YSM National Chaplain Fr. Charles Menezes will conduct a workshop on ‘environment’. Two days orientation will be conducted on august 8th and 9th, 2014 at Don Bosco – Oklha by the ICYM National Office.
