The 25th Chaplains’ Animators training program was inaugurated on June 1, 2017 at KROSS, Bangalore. The day began with Morning Prayer followed by the Eucharistic celebration. Main celebrant for the inaugural mass was Rev Bishop Henry D’Souza, Chairman, CBCI Council for Youth.
The inaugural ceremony started by lighting of the lamp by Bishop Henry D’Souza, Rev Fr. Deepak Thomas, Rev Fr. Anil D’Sa, Mr Sijo Ambatt, President, ICYM, Ms Jenny Joy, General Secretary, ICYM, Mr Anand Dabre, Vasai Diocese, Ms.Pooja, Sr. Pushpika, Fr Rajesh, Udaipur Diocese representing youth and youth animators participants of the CAT program.
After the inauguration the participants were divided into 6 groups and the first CAT King of 2017 was elected. Each participants were given the task of presenting their dreams of youth ministry and preparing the logo for their respective groups.
Afternoon session was on “Know your Movement” by Mr Roshan Alexander which was interactive and full of fun and frolic. His session began with ice breakers which enhanced the participation by knowing the other better. Post tea he continued explaining the structure and functioning of Indian Catholic Youth Movement.
Post dinner each group unveiled their logo and explained the logo. The day ended with each participant sharing their dream for the youth ministry.
