Jhabua; May 26th ICYM Diocesan Youth Convention – 2014 was organised by Jhabua ICYM at Thandla which is the first and the oldest mission of Jhabua Diocese. 300 youth delegates from all around the diocese gathered for this event. ICYM National Youth Director Fr. Franklin D’Souza hoisted the flag of the convention and inaugurated the convention. Jhabua Diocesan Chancellor Rev. Fr. Peter Karadi declared DYC open. Then he offered inaugural mass and prayed for the success of the convention. Fr. Franklin in his inaugural speech invited youth to make best use of the convention by actively participating in it. He invited Jhabua youth to think differently. He also asked them to reflect on the theme.
On 27th at 8.30am Fr. Franklin spoke on ‘Touched by Jesus – Walk in His way’. At 9.45am he spoke on ‘My Faith and My life’. In both speeches he asked the youth to follow Jesus Way by loving His Word. He explained the touch of Jesus can transform our lives. He invited youth to fall in love with Jesus. He said inspired by the Word let us transform the world. At 11am Fr. Vrghese Alengaden from Universal Solidarity Movement spoke on ‘be focussed with aim and goal’. At 12Pm Fr. Franklin celebrated holy Mass. ICYM Jhabua President Mr. Romil Akkel welcomed the speakers and ICYM Jhabua Director Fr. Pratap Damor SDB thanked the speakers.
